Our NDIS Safeguards
We are commited to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of each individual.
At ADAYA, each carer must acquire a list of requirements to ensure the qualifications and safeguards are met for the NDIS Community.
Strict Approval Process.
Support workers play a pivotal role in the lives of those they assist, often providing intimate care and support in sensitive situations. By selecting candidates through a thorough and thoughtful interview process, we personally assess not only their qualifications and experience but also their interpersonal skills, empathy, and suitability for the role.
National Police Check.
A National Police Check is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of both support workers and the people they assist. This check assesses an individual's criminal history, including any past offenses or convictions, which may pose risks to the safety and security of clients.
NDIS Screening Certificate.
Each carer upon orientation must provide their NDIS Screening Check. By requiring carers to undergo NDIS Screening Checks, the NDIS aims to uphold high standards of professionalism, trust, and accountability within the disability support industry, ultimately safeguarding the rights and dignity of those receiving care.
First Aid Certificate.
A First Aid Certificate equips them with essential knowledge and skills to provide timely and potentially life-saving assistance in emergencies. Carers must be certified with an understanding of first aid protocols to ensure that they can respond effectively to various medical scenarios.
Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
A Working with Children's Check (WWCC) is crucial for ensuring the safety and protection of minors under their care. By requiring carers to obtain a WWCC, it provides a safe environment for children. This check helps to uphold the highest standards of care, professionalism, and ensures that carers meet the necessary requirements to engage responsibly with minors.
Identity & Reference Checks.
Reference checks are vital in the selection process for support workers as they provide valuable insights into an individual's past work performance, reliability, and character. These checks allow employers to verify the accuracy of information provided by candidates and gain a deeper understanding of their capabilities & suitability for the role.
Certification Checks.
Certification checks for specialized NDIS support are crucial to ensure that support workers possess the specific qualifications, training, and expertise required to meet the unique needs of individuals with complex disabilities or specialized requirements. These checks help verify that carers have undergone specialized training programs or obtained certifications relevant to the specialized services they provide under the NDIS.
Insurance
BizCover Insurance
Insurance is important between carers and people with disabilities as it helps manage risks, protects both parties financially, ensures access to necessary services, and provides peace of mind in the caregiving relationship.
Privacy
Between you & your carer.
In essence, privacy is not just a matter of compliance — it's fundamental to upholding the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals, both carers and clients, fostering trust, autonomy, and respect in their relationship.
Client Feedback
Your words matter.
Taking on client feedback is essential as it promotes individualized care, empowerment, quality improvement, trust-building, issue resolution, and ongoing learning and development in the caregiving relationship. If in any way you believe you can get better care, we’d only have open minds to listen to you.
